Do you know someone who needs our help?
The Alresford Pigs Association offers financial support to local causes and often relies on the local community to inform us of where help maybe required.
It is impossible to list all of the requests for help which we have supported and obviously we cannot name any individuals helped by The Pigs but examples range from assisting with respite costs, the supply of Christmas hampers to needy families and the provision of replacement white goods where people cannot afford them. All of the local schools have received help from The Pigs, as have many of the local football, cricket & rugby clubs, along with cubs, scouts, beavers, brownies & guides and youth club.

We recently supported a celebratory BBQ for the residents of Makins Court.
The Alresford Pigs Association have recently presented a new wheelchair to Age Concern for use at the Alresford Day Care Centre, based at Chiltern Court in Alresford. Here the wheelchair is for general use by visitors to the Day Care Centre, when they arrive for lunch or other social events. Barry Mitchell, the Age Concern Manager at Chiltern Court, is delighted with the new wheelchair – he commented; “We knew the original wheelchair had been well used over the years, but we did not realise how difficult it was making the transport of visitors for the staff and helpers. The new model has made moving visitors around the centre far easier”. The photo shows the new wheelchair being demonstrated by some staff members at Chiltern Court.
