Watercress Festival 2008
The 2008 Watercress attracted almost 10,000 vistors to Alresford from around the county. The Pigs used the event to raise money for it's coffers by assisting the organisers with the supervision of entry points into Alresford and running a stall. The stall proved to be a popular attraction although a little hard work at times. Raffle tickets were inserted into a large number of balloons. The general public were invited to pop the balloons using a spear. Raffle tickets ending with 00 won a prize. Lots of mess but lots of fun.
The Pigs also ensured the safe journey of the Watercress Carriage up Broad Street and down West Street. A prestigious honour which was carried out with our usual professionalism.
